Are you grouping all wrong in Silhouette Studio?
If you are clicking and selecting and clicking more and then grouping..you're doing it the hard way. Read on for this Silhouette Studio trick to group same color design elements faster than you thought possible.
Let's take a look at this Valentine's SVG file that came into Silhouette Studio filled with color (thank you Lille Juniper for your awesome designs!!)
To cut this on HTV or even to change the colors I will want to group all of the like colors together. That's where Select by Color comes in super handy...and from there grouping is ONE click!
Instead of individually trying to click each of the pink hearts click..click.. click...click...
Do this instead...
From the top tool bar click the icon that looks like a paint pallet. Now you have two options: Select By Line or Select by Fill.
Since our design is filled with solid color we can click Select by Fill and see color swatches of the three colors in the design.
Clicking one of the swatches will select ALL elements that are that color. After that one click you can then right click and Group.
Repeat for any and all colors you want to group and that's it! Literally two clicks to group by color.
Just another reason filling designs with color is SO useful!
