You can bulk install Fonts on a MAC making it super fast and easy when you get a font bundle or pack.
Once installed fonts and after a program re-start, your new fonts will show up in Silhouette Studio. Read on to learn how in just a few clicks and less than 2 minutes you, too, can install a bundles-worth of new fonts!
I recently grabbed a bunch of fonts with glyphs and connectors from So Fontsy's Big Fonts with Connectors Bundle.
The bulk download from So Fontsy is a breeze...but what about installing all those fonts?
Turns out, that too, is super fast and easy.
Since I bulk downloaded the fonts they were all in one zip file.
Unzip the zip file by right clicking it.
In the folder that opens that's where all the fonts are..likely each in their own zip folder.
Hold down shift and select the top and bottom zip folder in the list > Right Click > Open With > Archive Utility.
This bulk unzips all the zip files and gives you a bunch of folders.
In the finder window click the option to sort by > Kind so all the folders are grouped together.
Hold down Shift and click the top folder and the bottom folder in the list. Hold Command + right arrow key to bulk expand all folders.
With all folders expanded you should now see all of the OTF and TTF font files. Hold down Command on your keyboard and click all of the OTF files. Do not hold down shift or everything in your path will get selected.
With all of the OTF files selected > Right Click > Open With > Font Book.
A window will pop up telling you how many fonts you're about to install. In this case it shows 13. Now just click install...repeatedly and every font will install for you!
