Sawgrass Print Utility Set Up and Settings for Beginners

Once you've installed the new Sawgrass Print Utility and have it opened don't be tempted to just start printing.

You need to do some initial set up and settings adjustments before you begin to ensure your Sawgrass sublimation printer is printing high quality images. Read on how to set up Sawgrass Print Utility in under 5 minutes.

Once you've logged in, navigate "Settings" option on the left. This will open the universal settings for Sawgrass Print Utility. Here you'll be able to set your default and most often used substrates, paper sizes and more.

All of the settings here are universal settings, but can be changed at any time on the universal level or the per job level so don't feel like you're making a right or wrong decision on any of these...

With your Sawgrass Sublimation Printer powered on and connected by USB to your computer, click the Devices panel. If your SG1000 or SG500 does not show up in the list click "Rescan" until it's found or click "Add" if you need to manually add it.

The one you select should show as "Online". You can set this as your default printer by clicking the little star icon.

Move to the Manage Page Size panel next and select the sheet size you most often use. For most people that will be Letter or 8.5" x 11" sheets. Again, click the star to make this your default choice. You can add your own paper size by clicking the +Add button if you'd like.

Move to Sawgrass Print Utility panel. In the top section, I would recommend only checking the boxes for:

Automatically Print and Mirror. NEVER add registration marks in Sawgrass Print Utility.

Select the Product you use most often from the dropdown and then select the print quality (high quality print or high speed) along with type of paper, where the paper source is and continue down the list of settings.

When you're done click Save Changes and return to the Create area.
