Silhouette Heat Press: Meet the cloChe and cloChe Mini

Silhouette will be releasing their first ever heat press in the coming months.  The cloChe (rhymes with crochet) measures just 13.8" x 13.3" and weighs about 11 pounds making it easily portable.  The heating area - basically the platan size - is 6" x 10" so definitely a smaller size craft heat press.
The clam shell-style Silhouette heat press, which also includes a mini hand-held cloChe Mini with a quarter-size heating surface, will retail for $249.

The temperature on the full size Silhouette heat press is controlled by a dial marked with L (low), M (medium), H (high). The low temperature sets the press at 248 degrees F; medium (320 F); high (392 F).  If these are the only set points for temperature it will be difficult to adjust accurately for products like smooth HTV that is most often applied at 305 degrees F, DTF transfers at 280 or 310 F,  or sublimation at 400.

The cloChe comes in three colors: white, mint, and light pink.

24" Silhouette CAMEO Pro MK-II

A year after announcing the Silhouette CAMEO 5 and 15" CAMEO 5 Plus, the 24" Silhouette CAMEO 5 was expected, but instead we got an updated version of the Silhouette CAMEO 4 Pro with a new name. the CAMEO Pro MK-II will be available in Fall 2024.

The CAMEO Pro MK-II is basically a hybrid of the CAMEO 5 and CAMEO 4 Pro. It has the look of a CAMEO 4 with the more boxy exterior with the functionality of a CAMEO 5.

The CAMEO Pro MK-II will retail for $499.99. It includes the same features as the CAMEO 4 Pro but with the CAMEO 5-type carriages and features including quieter cutting, updated rollers and enhanced loading. ›

It can be used with a 24" Silhouette cutting mat or lined roll materials.

Silhouette CAMEO Stand with Catch Basket

For the first time ever, Silhouette will be releasing a rolling stand compatible with the CAMEO 4 and 5 machines.  The stand will retail for $399.99. An exact release date has not yet been announced.

New Curio 2, CAMEO 5 and Portrait 4 Power Tools

Silhouette will also be releasing a handful of new power tools. The Leather Carving Knife (price: $39.99) and Super Fine Power Engraving Tip (price $29.99) will be compatible with the Curio 2.

The Super Fine Heat Pen (price: $39.99) will work with all CAMEO 5 machines as well as the Curio 2 and Portrait 4.

The new extra large pen holder ($9.99) for sharpies and wider-markers, along with all other tools, will be "coming soon."

Silhouette Studio V5

Silhouette has also announced the upcoming release of Silhouette Studio V5.  The new Silhouette software version will roll around the end of 2024 and will include a new Starter Mode.

When working in Starter Mode, Silhouette Studio will streamline the workflow and will limit the visibility of tools and features to help beginners focus only on essential tools.

Silhouette Web: Browser Based Software

Silhouette has also announced, and released in Beta, the new browser-based Silhouette Web software. This is an OPTIONAL software that can be used in addition to or instead of the downloaded version of Silhouette Studio.

Silhouette Web requires an internet connection to use and can be used on any device including phones, tablets, chromebooks and desktop or laptop computers.
