Here's another useful way how to use heat transfer vinyl - cover stains on clothes! Let's face it, we all have a pile of 'to-donate' clothes. Recycle some of yours (or your kids) old favorites with handy this HTV hack for how to cover a stain on a t shirt.
After washing, still can't remove a stain on a t shirt? Don't throw it away! Covering the stain with a cute HTV design is a clever way to upcycle clothes and make them ALMOST brand new!
First, determine how big you need the HTV design to be to cover the stain on the t shirt. Measure the stained area, then size the design accordingly in Silhouette Studio.
The HTV design we're using is a super cute cupcake monogram frame from the Mega Monogram SVG and Font Bundle.
Cut the design into HTV - don't forget to mirror - and weed out the excess.
How to Cover Stains on Clothes
Next, carefully place and press the HTV onto the t-shirt to cover the stain. When using a home iron with HTV, set the iron between "cotton" and "linen" and use medium to firm pressure for 10 - 15 seconds.
