Silhouette Studio software updates are free and available for all users. This Silhouette tutorial will talk you through where to find the current Silhouette Studio software version and how to update.
If you want to go back to an old version of Silhouette Studio you'll want to follow this tutorial for finding Silhouette Studio legacy software versions.
Go to the Silhouette America website and click Software. Then select "Get Software". On this page you'll see the button to Download the newest version of Silhouette Studio.
Your computer and operating system should be automatically detected, but if you want to be sure you can click the little arrow and manually select the software version to match your computer. 
Once you have downloaded Silhouette Studio on your computer, find the file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double click it to launch the installation.
Neither Mac users nor PC users need to remove any older versions of Silhouette Studio to update to a newer version of Silhouette Studio.
Follow the setup prompts to install Silhouette Studio. On a Mac that means pulling the software into the Applications folder.
Once you've completed this you can simply find the logo for the Silhouette Studio application on your computer and double click it to launch the program.
