A few weeks ago I shared a few skinny tumblers I had been working on...and immediately the questions on how to add glitter to sublimation tumblers started pouring in.
I'm sure there's some way to add actual glitter to skinny tumblers, but you guys...the illusion of glitter is even better and FAR faster and easier! That's the beauty of sublimation - the results are high resolution, bright, and vibrant.
Both of these sublimation tumblers appear to areas of shimmery glitter...
...but if you look close it's faux glitter!
Yup! It's actually just part of the sublimation template...
Both of these beautiful glitter sublimation wrap template can be found as part of So Fontsy's Mug and Tumbler Bundle. Like several of the other full wrap sublimation tumblers, it includes areas of faux glitter.
Here's how this beautiful emerald and gold glitter sublimate templated looked when I downloaded the PNG wrap template - sized perfectly for a 20 oz skinny tumbler - and brought it into Sawgrass Print Manager.
There's no dipping or sprinkling glitter and then covering it with epoxy, like you would on a traditional glitter tumbler. Instead, I just printed out the 20 oz skinny tumbler template on my Sawgrass SG400.
It was wrapped and taped it around the skinny sublimation tumbler and used my mug press to apply the sublimation wrap...
And I instantly had a shimmer sublimation tumbler which looks like it has large chunks of sparkly glitter...only it's completely flat and smooth.
That's it...a whole lot easier than adding glitter to a sublimation tumbler in a totally separate step...or two.
You can find more these glitter sublimation wrap templates in the Tumbler and Mug Bundle along with about 100 other commercial free designs for tumblers and mugs!
