Silhouette Studio Print Preview: How to Turn It On or Off

The Silhouette Studio Print Preview that, by default, pops up when you go to print from Silhouette Studio can be turned off.

If you decide you miss it..then you can turn it back on - if you know where to find the setting. 
The print preview in Silhouette Studio automatically opens when you click File > Print or the Print tool icon along the top toolbar in the software.

However, sometimes it can take the software a long time to process the preview request especially if the file size is large due to patterns or sticker designs. For this reason, some Silhouette users want to turn the Print Preview in Silhouette Studio off. 

To find the Print Preview settings click the Preferences tool (looks like a little gear) in the bottom right corner of Silhouette Studio.

The preferences panel will open and on the main "General" tab there will be a box you can toggle to turn on or off the print preview in Silhouette Studio.  

If you turn off the preview, when you click the print tool you'll get the print manager window immediately bypassing the print preview.

Not all versions of Silhouette Studio have this option so if you don't have the Print Preview preferences update your Silhouette Studio software first then adjust the setting.

    I know some versions of Silhouette Studio have had issues. What is the currently recommended version of Silhouette Studio?

    I have Business Edition, the most costly version and when I recently updated I have preview but cannot get rid of it. I have the most expensive version, I do not understand why I would not have this option. Can you verify which versions DO have this option? I hate print preview and want to get rid of it!!!

      Hi there, you can turn print preview off by going to the cog at the bottom right of your workspace> on the 'general' menu > uncheck print preview.

      I can’t get rid of it either in the business edition because there is no option for print preview.
