The 24" Silhouette CAMEO Pro is finally here...and it's 4" larger than Silhouette America initially promised - a secret I've been keeping for what feels like an eternity now! I'm soooo thrilled I can finally tell you that following MONTHS of delays due to the pandemic, you can now pre-ORDER the 20" Silhouette CAMEO Pro 24" CAMEO Pro or a Silhouette CAMEO Pro Bundle from Swing Design with FREE shipping.
Unlike the change to the width, the Silhouette CAMEO Pro price has not increased above the initial $499.99 price tag which was announced in May 2019. To find out more about the largest CAMEO machine including changes from the CAMEO 4 and CAMEO Plus vs CAMEO Pro, what comes in the box, Silhouette CAMEO Pro set up, and where to find 24" vinyl rolls... read on!
Where to Order Silhouette CAMEO 4 Pro
Got your 24" material from somewhere else, don't want a CAMEO Pro bundle, or don't want to wait? Silhouette America also has a very limited supply of 24" CAMEO 4 Pro machines to order which are shipping immediately is currently sold out.
Silhouette CAMEO Pro Features
The
24" Silhouette Cameo Pro has the same features and cutting capabilities as the Silhouette CAMEO 4 and the 15 inch" CAMEO Plus including the ability to cut with or without a cutting mat and use the specialty tools including the Rotary Blade 3mm Kraft Blade, and the Punch tool. There are some differences including the roll feeder, rollers, and roller bar, but not a lot between the CAMEO 4 and CAMEO 4 Pro.
Users will notice two significant changes when comparing the CAMEO 4 vs CAMEO 4 Pro. Unlike the CAMEO 4 and CAMEO 4 Plus, the CAMEO Pro roll feeder is not built in and the roller bar was re-designed to stabilize it.
The 4-piece detachable roll feeder for the CAMEO Pro, has also been re-designed to account for the presumably heavier
24" vinyl rolls and HTV.
Being able to cut 24" wide by 60' long means you can make some pretty big vinyl decals, signs, stencils and heat transfer vinyl projects so of course you're going to want to pick up some 24" vinyl, stencil material and transfer tape.
Everything else is the same between the CAMEO 4 and Pro..which means the CAMEO 4 Pro also includes the following features:
The newly designed rollers can be adjusted to any width allowing for materials and cutting mats of any size to be loaded and cut including 12x12" Silhouette CAMEO cutting mats and the 15" CAMEO Plus mats.
Just slide the right roller bar along the bar to the correct position based on the material size and lock it into place with the roller bar lever.
Silhouette CAMEO 4 Pro Unboxing
The first thing you will notice about the
CAMEO Pro when you get it - is it's massive and heavy.
Silhouette CAMEO Pro Dimensions and Specs
The CAMEO Pro shipping box weight is 26.10 pounds with the box measuring 39" x 12" x 9.75".
The profile of the CAMEO 4 Pro is identical to the smaller Silhouette CAMEO 4 and CAMEO Plus with a depth of about 6.5" and a height about the same.
The most important dimension to most users will likely be the full width which is almost 34.5".
I know it's considered a desktop cutter, but ideally the CAMEO 4 Pro needs a stand like most other 24" vinyl cutters offer. Here's to hoping...until then I'll have to use the one I DIYed to conserve space on my craft table.

Where to Find 24" Vinyl and HTV for Silhouette CAMEO Pro?
One of the biggest concerns with those interested in buying the CAMEO Pro prior to its release was the availability of
24" vinyl rolls.
I’m happy to let you know that we worked with some retailers and have found where you can find 24" vinyl rolls,
24" Oracal vinyl roll bundles and 24" sheets. This will not only save you time from having to cut down, but will also allow you to use the full width on the CAMEO Pro.
A note of warning, the 24" x 150' rolls were too heavy and did not cut well directly from the roll on the CAMEO 4 Pro. We tested shorter length 24" rolls including 30' (10 yard) Oracal vinyl rolls and had no issues cutting when the full roll was placed in the CAMEO 4 Pro roll feeder.

Can you please do a video on your DIY stand? I am running out of table space in my craft room, so this would be perfect
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a MH cutter stand.
DeleteIt looks like a MH cutter stand.
DeleteYes, I would LOVE info on the stand too!! Thank you so much for your blog! It is super helpful!!!!
ReplyDeleteInterested in the stand as well!
ReplyDeleteI too need to know what stand can be purchased for the Pro machine.
ReplyDeleteI see where the Pro can be adjusted to different widths to accommodate different mats and material without a mat. Can it be adjusted to ANY width, or are there "grooves" like on the Cameo 3 that the roller has to be seated into? I'm really wanting the flexibility of being able to use any size material...not just the standard widths.

ReplyDeleteWow, I love this one, will definitely buy one
ReplyDeleteWas information ever posted on the stand?
ReplyDeleteThere is not a dedicated stand yet, will announce when there is!
DeleteThank you for the review Mellisa. The 5kg of force is impressive.
ReplyDeleteJust curious, is there threaded inserts under the cutter to mount it to a stand?
Most 24" cutters and larger have threaded metal (brass) inserts in the base.
There aren't unfortunately.
DeleteI like the stand you have for this Silhouette Cameo 4 pro. Can you provide a link on where to get this stand please. thanks so much appreciate it
ReplyDeleteHello there. Unfortunately I can't fully recommend it. The stand is only where it sits, I don't use the stand to cut on.
