If you are looking for a new heat press they are finally here! Long gone are the okay-ish colors that clash with your craft room.

You can now get what I like to refer to them as a "pretty heat press" - that matches not only your craft room but your Silhouette CAMEO machine.

The new 15 x 15" heat presses are exclusively available at Swing Design and come in four colors: white, pink, teal, and coral.

When I got my first heat press off Amazon about 5 years ago, I took a chance on one of the only entry-level presses available. It was $269 for a yellow and black press with no customer support and no option for financing. (It worked great and served me for about four years before I donated it to another crafter to make room for a few other heat presses..in prettier colors and various sizes.) Craft and hobby heat presses have come a long way since then.

The temperature range on the Swing heat press allows the press to heat up to 480 degrees - well over what's needed for HTV, rhinestones, printable heat transfer, and sublimation.  These presses also use a different type of heat system which provides even edge to edge even heat.

The pink and teal heat presses match the pink and teal Silhouette CAMEO 3 machines - certainly not a necessity, but definitely a nice option to have.

Craft Heat Press Comparison

The 15 x 15" heat presses cost $299.99 and there's an option for 0% financing as well. You can also get it as part of a bundle with a pink, white, or black CAMEO 4 or a 15" CAMEO Plus.

All of the pretty Swing heat presses include the teflon sheet so you can plug it in and start pressing immediately. For a good quality entry-level heat press that’s nice to look at and works well with even heat and high enough temperatures for sublimation this is definitely a good option especially if you're on a budget.

If you've been heat press shopping you know it's a challenge to find a heat press under $300. The only one that comes close in price is the pink Hotronix Craft Press, but it's the smaller 9 x 12" size and the price is still higher at $310.  I have the 9x12" pink heat press and love it because of the smaller footprint and the ability to transport it - but it's not ideal for larger-size designs.

Other 15 x 15 heat presses start in the mid $300s and go up from there.  Here's a side by side comparison of popular features in entry level, hobby 15x15" manual open clam shell style presses.
