This tutorial will show you exactly how to scale a design in Silhouette Studio.
The fabric mask pattern design is a perfect example of needing to scale so you can create various size masks.
The design opens at 100% which is considered a "small" size mask. It also includes a sizing the chart recommending scaling between 90-120% to make extra small, medium and large size fabric masks.
Start by opening the design in Silhouette Studio.
Move the size guide and other text off the work area.
Select the design and from the right sidebar open the Transform panel.
The Transform panel includes 5 tabs - select the Scale tab. The tool icon is a diagonal arrow.
With your design still selected manually type in the new percent to scale your design by that much.
For example, to increase the size of the design to make a medium size mask, type in 110% and click "Apply."
That's it! If you increased the size of your design to 100% and it no longer fits on a 12x12 work area/cutting mat, you can go one step further to make the medium size mask fit.
Ungroup the design and turn the individual pieces in various ways to nest them so they all fit on a single 12x12 cutting mat.
The large and x-large sizes will not fit on a single 12x12" cutting mat but can be cut on a 12x24" cutting mat or on separate cutting mats. They will also fit on a 15" x15" cutting mat if you're using a 15" CAMEO Plus.
