Sawgrass will be ending technical support for certain Windows users on January 14, 2020. Here are 5 things you need to know!
1) Beginning January 14, 2020, Sawgrass will no longer offer technical support for Sawgrass SG400 or SG800 users with Windows 7 operating system. This coincides with when Microsoft is completely ending customer support for Windows 7 after 10 years of supporting the operating system.
2) If you stay on Windows 7 after January 14, 2020, the operating system will not get any future software fixes, features, or security updates. For Sawgrass users that means any incompatibilities with the Sawgrass software, Virtuoso Print Manager, that would require an update on any Microsoft Utilities will not be available.
3) Your current Sawgrass VPM software MAY still work on Windows 7, however users who run into technical issues will no longer be able to get support from Sawgrass or Microsoft after this date.
4) Future Sawgrass software updates to VPM aren't guaranteed to work with Windows 7. That means if updates for bugs or no features are released and you update to the new version of Sawgrass software, it may not be compatible with Windows 7.
5) To keep your Sawgrass sublimation printer software compatible with Windows AND to continue to have technical support, update your Windows operating system to Windows 10 prior to January 14, 2020.
