BUT one of the biggest issues I had with it was the short USB cord which is required to be plugged in while in use. Enter the WRMK battery pack. Yup..another craft gadget!
If you are using the Foil Quill tips in your Silhouette without the battery pack, you need to be close enough to an outlet where you can plug the 2' long USB cord in...all while giving it enough room to stretch as it foils.
But with the battery pack/power bank, you can bring the power supply to you!
For this tutorial I am combining a few of my favorite Foil Quill accessories including the Foil Quill magnetic mat and 12x12" foil sheets.
All you need to do is first charge up the WRMK Battery Pack using the included power cord. The charge lasts for up to 5 hours of use.
Once it's charged, you can plug in up to two Foil Quills (or other WRMK tools with a USB cord) at the same time.
Set the battery pack on the top of your Silhouette CAMEO machine while you're foiling and you don't need to worry about the cord being too short or being close to a power supply!
I have to admit the only thing I don't care for about this WRMK power brick is the price..at

Will a battery pack used for other USB things work?
ReplyDeleteYes, it will work with any USB tool. :)

Does the quill pack (pens) work with the cameo4?
ReplyDeleteI’m confused...I’ve never used the foil quill yet, but you mentioned a short cord to the wall outlet- why not just plug it in to an extension cord?? That’s cheaper than a battery pack.
