It's much more likely that your Silhouette designs haven't disappeared, but that they're just hiding.
The way the Silhouette Studio Local User folder structure and count works, it almost hides designs when completely collapsed. That can cause a lot of panic when you upgrade, update, or just open Silhouette Studio and it looks like this...
The first ting you should do is click on Local User. That should expand your Local User folders. If your Library folder has a + on it, that means you have sub folders.
The number next to the folder is how many items are in that folder - but it doesn't tally the designs in the sub folders. That means if you have all of your designs in the sub folders the Library will show 0.
But if you expand the Library to see the sub folders you'll (hopefully) find all of your designs are there.
