And the answer is not changing the font size.
When you open a text box and start typing sometimes the text will wrap onto a second line. Changing the font size and style will not force it back to one line.
Instead you need to expand the text box.
To do that, double click on the text box so it's green. Then use your mouse to pull the blue bar to the right.
Keep pulling until the text is all on one line.
It's really that easy.
