Of course I recommend vinyl bundles, Silhouette Designer Edition (at a minimum), and a heat press if you're doing a lot of heat transfer vinyl. But there are also some, what I consider "must haves", that you probably didn't even realize you needed!
Some of these things have also made my list of Top 10 Craft Gadgets for Silhouette Crafters some of them will leave you wondering: "Why didn't I think of that?'
Everything on the list below can be found on my Silhouette School Amazon shop - it's just a wish list of sorts to make it easy for you to find things in a single click. I will also include the direct link to the item on Amazon and if there are other places to purchase these items I'll also link to them too so you can price shop!
Must Have Silhouette Accessories and Tools
Head Lamp for Weeding - Strap on a head lamp and make it easier than ever to weed vinyl and HTV. The light from above makes it really easy to see the cut lines and the light will never be pointed in the wrong direction...as long as you're looking at the vinyl while weeding!Laminator - A laminator pulls double duty for your Silhouette project! It's not only an inexpensive and fast way to laminate your print and cut projects, but you can run laminotor sleeves through it empty and cut them with your Silhouette machine to make re-usable stencils.
Clip on Stencil Level - Never apply a vinyl decal uneven again! The stencil level has clips so it sticks and also a built in level. Just clip the stencil to the transfer tape or vinyl backing and hold it up to your surface - a wall, around a cup, or on a flat surface - to level it and then apply the decal or stencil!
Paper Poker Tool Thing - Remove the cut out areas from your paper crafts fast and easily with this multi-purpose paper tool. The poker side pops cut outs out if they don't stick when the rest of the cut is removed from the Silhouette cut mat. Or use the roller brush side to roll it across an intricate design and remove multiple cut out areas fast!
HTV Vinyl Remover - No worries if you spell something wrong or get a rogue piece of heat transfer vinyl pressed to your shirt. A little bit of this vinyl remover goes a long way in removing not only the HTV, but the adhesive too! Shop VLR Vinyl Remover at Swing Design
Clover Mini Iron - Another cool crafting gadget that plays double duty! Apply HTV in small areas AND remove little HTV mistakes, by reheating, with the Clover Mini Iron!
Faux Wood Backdrops - Need to take a picture of something you made, but can't find an interesting, but neutral background? Wood grain backdrops are amazing for this - especially for small items like ring dishes, key chains, and jewelry items.
Corner Painter - The hands-down easiest and fastest way to fill rhinestone templates cut on Silhouette CAMEO or Portrait. Just pour a pile of rhinestones over the rhinestone flock and use the corner paint brush in a circular motion to push the rhinestones into the template. They will flip over by some magic power and fill the holes faster than you will even believe.
Sewing Gauge - This little sewing gadget is awesomely precise especially when using the hinge method to transfer vinyl decals and stencils on surfaces such as wood signs, canvas, and craft blanks.
Terial Magic - The best product to use when cutting fabric with Silhouette CAMEO or Portrait. Just spray the Terial Magic on the fabric, press the fabric piece to dry it out and stabilize it, (you can add an iron on stabilizer too for adhesive applications), then cut the fabric with your cutting machine.
