OnlineLabels.com sent me some Happy Mail which if you saw my live unboxing on Facebook Live earlier this month (re-watch it here on YouTube), you know I was super excited about! I mean there's a lot to be excited about when it comes to finding the mother lode retailer of sticker and label sheets! There's printable gold and silver foil adhesive sheets, printable iron on transfer, printable magnet paper, clear sticker sheets, 12x18" printable adhesive sheets and the thing that peeked my interest the most: printable weatherproof sheets!
I literally could not wait to try out the printable weatherproof sheets. This stuff opens up a whole new world for people who make mugs and jar labels, and basically any print and cut that could get wet. And you don't need any kind of sealant!
I am gonna be honest, I had my doubts because let's face it this stuff is claiming to be able to be printed on my ink jet printer, cut on my Silhouette and then washed or left out in the rain without the ink fading or bleeding and without any kind of sealant. I may have given it the stink eye when I heard the claims.
So let's test it out...obviously you set it up as a regular print and cut, print on your printer (oriented so the printer prints on the shiny side) and then cut with your Silhouette.
Seriously, all I did was go to the cut settings page on their website, find the recommended blade, thickness, and speed settings for Weatherproof labels and adjust my Cut Settings in Silhouette Studio to match. What do you know?! They worked perfectly on the first cut and I was left with a perfect kiss cut!
Now for the true test...would their Waterproof/Weatherproof claims hold up? See for yourself!
Can you say, "Move over vinyl?!"
And here's how I used them outside to give them the true "weatherproof" test.
Aren't these garden stakes just the cutest?!
It's basically been the wettest spring in history (at least as far back as I go) and they're still good as new! I'd say they passed the 'weatherproof' test.
And it's official OnlineLabels.com has quickly become my go-to place for all things sticker paper!

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered the glossy paper for making graphics for our race cars.
ReplyDeleteWe have used them for our business for years and love this company. Will have to look into them for my Silhouette needs now. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you discovered this! I have a laser printer only and have been missing out on print and cut stickers. This is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSeems like they only supply laser ones to we poor souls here in the UK :(
ReplyDeleteI've contacted them - waiting for a reply.
Would love to know when you hear from them, I'm in the UK too.

DeleteAre there any round/square printable heat transfer labels out there? I've been looking for months and can't find any! I keep only seeing the full sheet of transfer paper.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for this through the internet but this is over the top of what Ifound! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for printable cardstock to print and cut with Silhouette and just ordered their inkjet cardstock to try out. Regular cardstock and photo matte doesn't cut well after printing.
ReplyDeletePaper tears and doesn't get a clean cut. Hope this works out well.
Will be ordering more if it does. Hoping they will offer 12 x 12 too.
Wish we could order in small amounts.
ReplyDeleteHi Pat, You can order all of our products by the sheet or in bulk. If you go to the product page, there is an option when selecting the quantity that says "click here to enter a quantity not listed below" That option is directly above the 100 sheet option. You can type in the number of sheets you need and you can add them to your cart. Hope this helps :) Feel free to call us at (888)575-2235 with any questions.
DeleteThis product looks great, but I wonder about the adhesive. Is it permanent or removable?
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie,
DeleteWe offer a permanent stick and a removable adhesive that is great for temporary applications. Call us if you have any questions, we'd love to help. Thanks!
I've been looking at the site and the sheets have different label selections. How do you select a plain sheet?
ReplyDeleteHaha figured it out.
DeleteI ordered the water bottle labels of the same kind and my ink never set. It beaded up and wiped off to the touch. Wonder what I did wrong?!? I was so disappointed.
ReplyDeleteYou have given me hope that it could work though. Might have to give it another try.
We'd be happy to help you find something that works. There are so many variables when printing but 99% we can figure out a solution that works. Call us at (888)575-2235 and we will pull up your account. Keep the faith :)
DeleteJaw drop. I need to order this stuff ASAP!!!
ReplyDeleteJust placed an order for the sticker paper! I'm really excited to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI ordered several samples and printed on the white glossy for the inkjet. However, after printing, the registration marks are not recognized in the Silhouette Software Business Edition. I used both the manual and automatic registration mark options, no luck. Any suggestions? Does the Silhouette have issues recognizing registration marks on glossy paper?
ReplyDeleteMelissa- Do you have a coupon code we can use?!
ReplyDeleteI ordered some samples of the inkjet glossy weatherproof sticker paper and tried it out on some tumblers but when I went to wash it, the ink just scratches off. Did you use any special settings on your printer? Also, just curious, how is the sticker holding up on your bottle now that you've washed it several times?
ReplyDeleteVery nice post. My site of cheap essay writing service will giving you a highly content website. Thanks for your amazing website.
ReplyDeleteHow did you transfer the sticker? I did a print and cut and tried to transfer to my mug with transfer tape. After I transferred, the sticker was sticky on the printed portion.
ReplyDeleteI think it's just peel and stick like any other sticker. No transfer tape needed, like with vinyl. Or at least that's my plan. Did you figure it out?
