A few months ago I shared a tutorial on how to make your own stickers using the Silhouette Printable White Sticker Paper. The sheets work great...they print nicely and cut wonderfully. I'm a fan...in general.
Only thing I'm not a fan of is that only eight sheets come in a package. They're not too expensive - about $6 if you can get them on sale and with Prime shipping and as an add on on Amazon - but I started looking for an alternative because 8 sheets isn't enough for me.
Now I've found it! Oh yes, I've hit the printable sticker paper jackpot.
The secret is the Avery brand printable full label sheets..disguised as shipping labels. Not the kind that are already cut into labels, but the full label sheets. They're called Avery (8165) Full Sheet White Shipping Labels. They're 8.5 x 11" white sheets of printable sticker paper.
Oh and did I mention 25 sheets come in a pack?! I paid $6.99 for the pack and got free shipping. You can also get a 100 count box of full size printable labels for about $24.
You use them the same way as you would the Silhouette brand sticker paper..just design your sticker in Silhouette Studio, add registration marks, load the white shipping label sheet in your printer to print, put it on the cutting mat and send it to cut your stickers!
I used them to make a few different size stickers for my Etsy business. I put the stickers on bags for local pick ups and on outgoing mailed packages.

I found this because I was searching to see if this would work...I'm so glad to hear that it does. The two main differences I found are that the stickers say they are "repositionable" and also acid free if you are using them on/near photos. I'm not, so I'm good with this. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteThe cons of this paper, not mentioned in the article, include vertical slits on the back that show through to the front and a back that is slathered in Avery advertising that would look unprofessional on stickers printed for resale.
