do you use a mat when you cut your vinyl or just insert the htv?
ReplyDeleteThank you, this worked great!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean "shiny side," the non-colored side? The htv I have is more like the hologram glitter and both sides are shiny.
ReplyDeleteBest help I have been able to find! Silhouette School Never Fails!
ReplyDeleteWowza! These REALLY are the perfect settings. Glitter HTV always gave me issues and I just cut a design and peeled off the extra with no issues.
ReplyDeleteThis saved the day! Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks - those settings worked great!
ReplyDeleteWould the settings be the same for the Siser ColorPrint & Cut Glitter Vinyl?
ReplyDeleteWorked perfectly on my gold glitter HTV! Thanks a million!
ReplyDeleteMy project turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI just used your recommended cut settings and you are right! Cut beautifully and was so easy to weed. Thank you!
ReplyDeletedo you recommend double cut?
ReplyDeletedo you recommend double cut?
ReplyDeleteOne tutorial says to use a cutting mat. This one should specify yes or no on that front, because with a cutting mat, this setting did NOT work! It cut right through the backing. Ruined a good sheet of HTV. Bummer...
ReplyDeleteI use these settings with a cutting mat and have no problem at all. I use this for Siser and also for the Cricut brand HTV that they sell at Michael's. Thanks for all of your recommendations and tutorials!
ReplyDeleteI could kiss you right now, Melissa. I was over here trying to cut glitter HTV and getting close to murdering someone. Then I used your settings and BAM! Perfect cut! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh! You are such a savior! I haven't cut glitter HTV in some time so I did a Google search for settings and found your post. I knew I could trust your recommendations so off I went. I didn't use a mat and this worked perfectly! I use a CB09 blade and left it where I have it set for 651 and just used your machine settings and it weeded easy peasy. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! your settings were perfect all along and I wasted a day and a half trying to figure what I was doing wrong. I'm not sure if this helps anyone, but make sure the blade is locked in place and the locking tab is pushed in (you'll see green through the little hole). The blade is NOT supposed to pop up during the cutting process, which is the problem that I was having therefore not being cut properly, my blade was never locked in. The blade doesn't lock in just by pushing it down, the tab sticking out MUST be pushed in. Thank the lord for your blog!
ReplyDeleteJust saved me from insanity thank you!
ReplyDeleteHI. I dont have these options. I got my heat transfer glitter from aliexpress. The option in silhouette cameo dosent work and my program shows different in setting then yours :(((
ReplyDeleteI got my blade on 10 and speed 4 and thickness up to 18,I sure hope this cuts now. I saw where you have your blade on 4, my new blade will not cut at 4. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how helpful this was!! We spent 2 days trying to figure out why we couldn't get this crap to cut right!! You rock!
ReplyDeleteThese settings worked really well. My blade is dull so I did tell it to do a second pass. Was one of the easiest weedings I've done in a while.
